Martial Arts Festival

Tomorrow is the annual Martial Arts Festival. Each of the different martial arts clubs will be putting on demonstrations. The festival starts at 1:00 p.m.

Carlino cleared to play at Bloomington South

Matt Carlino, the first IU recruit from the class of 2011 who transferred from his school in Arizona to Bloomington High School South over the summer, has been cleared to play this season at South, according to Kyle Simpson's Twitter account.

Hoosier Invitational update

The IU Men's Tennis team is off to a fast start at the Hoosier Invitational. Freshmen Isade Juneau and Josh MacTaggart won their first round singles matches as did sophomore Jeremy Langer. MacTaggart was dominant against his Southern Illinois opponent, winning 6-0, 6-1.

Week three injury report released

The Hoosiers have released their final injury report before they take on the Akron Zips. Here are some notable listings: RB Darius Willis appears ready to get back at it; he is listed as probable with his ankle injury. CB Donnell Jones is still fighting his nagging hamstring injury, and he is listed as questionable again. LG Justin Pagan is probable. OL Cody Faulkner is still out with his shoulder injury. LB Chad Scherer is questionable with a hamstring injury. We are on our way to Akron today to check out the IU men's soccer team try to dethrone the No.

IU to play in another Big Ten/Big East Challenge

Last year, IU played in its first season to end in an NCAA Tournament birth since 1986. That all began with the Big Ten/Big East Challenge. There, IU pulled out a 2-1 record against the likes of West Virginia, Georgetown and USF.

UConn visited Kyrie Irving in home last night

So I was flipping through Akron's football media guide last night. I found this gem: Victor Rajek, a junior linebacker for Akron, represented Slovakia in the bobsled in the 2006 Torino Olympics.
