Last year, IU played in its first season to end in an NCAA Tournament birth since 1986.
That all began with the Big Ten/Big East Challenge.
There, IU pulled out a 2-1 record against the likes of West Virginia, Georgetown and USF. The Hoosiers' second trip tp Clearwater, Fla. is set for Feb. 26 to 28. They will face West Virginia, Villanova and Connecticut during the three-day period.
IU coach Tracy Smith has also continued to add prospects, including two pitchers to fill spots vacated by MLB draftees Matt Bashore and Eric Arnett.
After their best season in more than two decades, the Hoosiers will be a relatively young team, having lost seven players to the MLB draft.
One returning player who is sure to steady IU's lineup is Alex Dickerson, a Second Team Freshman All-American, according to Baseball America.
