Hoosiers fall to Purdue 38-21

In a rivalry matchup with nothing more than pride on the line, Purdue appeared to want it more. The Boilermakers earned the Old Oaken Bucket with a 38-21 win over IU on Saturday. IU junior quarterback Ben Chappell was 23-39 for 266 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions, while freshman running back Darius Willis led the way with 149 yards on the ground. Purdue was effective in the air with 205 yards and four touchdowns by Boilermaker quarterback Joey Elliot.

Crean meets with media in P.R. ; release on Sheehey signing

Ohio State handles Hoosiers 3-1

The IU volleyball team couldn't engineer a comeback to win for seniors Kelsey Hall and Whitney Thomas, falling to Ohio State in four sets for the second time this season. The Buckeyes (22-8, 10-7) took one step further to earning a bid to the NCAA Tournament by beating the Hoosiers (15-16, 4-13) by scores of 25-16, 25-20, 20-25 and 25-22. Hall, who was honored with her parents before the match along with Thomas and senior trainer Meghan Chambers, powered the Hoosiers offensively, earning 13 kills in her penultimate match inside University Gym. She was one of the few bright spots for her team, however. IU started the match out of sync.

Headline fix for my article on Ole Jawn Purdue tradition

The headline should have said "IU revives burial of 'Ole Jawn Purdue' Today" and not what was in the paper as "IU recieves burial of 'Ole Jawn Purdue' on Saturday. The burial will take place at 5:30 today by the Devault Alumni Center, the Hoosier Village area on 17th and Woodlawn.
