Well, in honor of LeBron James stoking his ego recently, I have decided to stoke mine.
If you remember, the day the World Cup began (almost one month ago, June 11), I released my predictions. Here is a link to them.
Lets take a look back at how my bracket fared against reality.
I did well in the first round, guessing right on 13 of the 16 teams to make it into the knockout stages. I whiffed on Cameroon, Serbia, and Italy making it to the next round. However I didnt correctly predict all the group winners and runners up.
Into the round of 16, I only got four of the eight teams that I picked to win correct. I had the USA, England, Mexico, and Cameroon all making it into the quarterfinals. I correctly picked Argentina, Spain, Holland, and Brazil.
In the quarter-finals, I once again got half of my guesses come true. I had England and Argentina making it to the semis. England was out after the round of 16, and Germany, I didnt even pick to make it out of the group. However I got Spain and Holland correct.
Finally in the semi's, I correctly picked Spain and Holland to win and meet in the Finals! That is a win for Dan!
If Spain wins, my bracket is a champion bracket.
