Walter Offutt, the former four-star recruit from Indianapolis, is headed to Ohio University.

The combo guard, who originally played at Ohio State before transferring to Wright State, chose the Bobcats instead of the Hoosiers.

"Yes going to Ohio!" Offutt wrote in a text message.

Having already played in the Big Ten, Offutt would not have been able to accept an athletic scholarship at IU. However, the former Buckeye will receive a scholarship at OU.

A few weeks back, Offutt told the IDS that he was leaning towards IU in a two-team race with Ohio. However, he recently said it was '50-50' and would not be visiting IU, but instead would be making it to Athens, Ohio this weekend.

Offutt will play for Ohio head coach John Groce, a former Ohio State assistant who recruited him to play for the Buckeyes.
