Former IU linebacker Matt Mayberry signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

Mayberry joins 11 other undrafted rookies, including Ohio State defensive end Lawrence Wilson and Michigan running back Brandon Minor.

Mayberry led the Hoosiers in tackles in 2009 with 108 while recording 3 interceptions and 5.5 sacks.

Safety Nick Polk, who had 53 tackles in 2009, signed with the Houston Texans. Joining him in Houston is linebacker Will Patterson, third on the Hoosiers with 67 tackles last year.

Tight end Troy Wagner, known more for his blocking at IU than his 6 receptions in 2009, latched on with the Cleveland Browns.

Meanwhile, defensive end Greg Middleton remains unsigned. Middleton is notoriously known for not replicating his 2007 numbers, when he led the nation with 17 sacks. In 2009, he had only 3 sacks. His production is an obvious red flag, but as ProFootballTalk.com pointed out in March, his intangibles aren't anything to brag about.
