When Roshown McLeod became IU's third assistant, No. 15/16 ranked recruit Dominic Cheek seemed to become interested in IU. Shortly after the Cheek-IU buzz began to generate, the five-star recruit said he "definitely" planned on visiting IU. After opting to take official visits to Kansas, Villanova, Wake Forest and, most recently, Tennessee, Cheek has one more school left to choose for a visit. Memphis, UConn, Pitt, Rutgers and Seton Hall are the schools left in the running for official number five for Cheek, according to Adam Zagoria.

With the recent oral commitment from 6-foot-7 wing Christian Watford, IU is now definitely going after a big man. Even though Cheek would make a great player on any team, it's clear the Hoosiers don't need another guard or small forward. Angus Brandt was once the big name and talks of power forward Chris Braswell have heated up as of late, but in the last week it appears that 6-foot-11 Ghana native Bawa Muniru may be Tom Crean's top priority.

Muniru is expected to visit this weekend, while a Braswell visit will follow at one of the next home football games. Last year, Muniru played at Madison Academy in Alabama, but the big man is now at Charis Prep in North Carlonia. FoxSports.com's Jeff Goodman just posted this afternoon, however, that Charis has not been cleared by the NCAA. "As a result, core courses, grades and graduation will not be used when determining initial eligibility," Goodman wrote.

What this means for Muniru is not completely clear, although it seems that it definitely could impact Muniru, as well as teammates Roscoe Davis (West Virgina commit) and Keith Dewitt (Missouri), among other Charis Prep athletes.
