...at least according to ESPN.com's Page 2 writer, Jim Caple. Caple compiled his list of the most important sports venues in the country --not his favorite, not the best and not the most beautiful, just the most important.

Caple placed Assembly Hall at No. 95, "Because this is the focal point for the most basketball-obsessed state in the country."

If you feel that's a bit low, at least there's another special place one spot above, at No. 94: Bill Armstrong Stadium, "Because this is where they hold the annual Little 500 bike race, which provided the inspiration for "Breaking Away" and is also the best weekend in college sports."
