How about some good news for a change?
Maurice Creek, a 6-foot-5 shooting guard originally from the D.C. area, has become the third class of 2009 recruit to verbally commit to IU. Creek, ranked No. 63 and No. 76, respectively, by recruiting services Rivals.com and Scout.com, chose IU over Miami (FL), Texas and Pittsburgh.
The 195-lb. wing from the South Kent School in Connecticut was recruited by Tom Crean at Marquette and only recently became interested in IU. Despite the depleted roster for next season, the 2009-10 campaign is looking bright with fellow four-star recruit Derek Elston and three-star big man Bobby Capobianco also slated to play for Crean.
