Indiana men’s basketball will host Oregon at 8:30 p.m. Monday as it looks to continue strengthening its NCAA tournament resume. But the Ducks aren’t the only visitors in Bloomington.
Indiana Athletics will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 1975-76 basketball team, the last undefeated national champion in Division I men’s basketball.
Here’s which 75-76 Hoosiers will be in attendance:
- Guard Quinn Buckner, who's a current IU Board of Trustees member
- Forward Scott May
- Center Kent Benson
- Guard Bobby Wilkerson
- Guard Jim Crews
- Guard Scott Eells
- Forward James Roberson
- Forward Tom Abernathy
- Mitchell Radford (forward Wayne Radford’s son)
After Buckner delivers an opening statement, the group will hold a 15-minute media availability Monday evening. Indiana athletic director Scott Dolson will hold a brief press conference afterward.
The group will then be honored at halftime of the game between the Hoosiers and Ducks.
Indiana football’s perfect 16-0 season and national championship last month gave the school each of the most recent undefeated national champions in both men’s basketball and football.
