With its first conference matchup of the season looming, Indiana men’s basketball returned to its home court for a contest against Bethune-Cookman University.

And much like Indiana football Friday, Darian DeVries’ squad dominated Saturday. The Hoosiers earned a 100-56 victory over the Wildcats inside Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington.

Although the Wildcats opened the scoring with a 3-pointer, the Hoosiers responded with a 9-0 run. Sixth-year senior guard Tayton Conerway scored seven points early in the first half as the Cream and Crimson took a double-digit lead four minutes into the game.

Indiana went on additional runs — 8-0, 7-0 and 10-0 — to head into halftime with a 28-point advantage. Redshirt senior forward Tucker DeVries led all scorers at the break with 12, while Conerway added nine.

With the victory in hand to begin the second half, the Hoosiers cruised to their seventh win of the season. They notched an early 8-0 spurt early in the second half and continued their rout.

The Cream and Crimson led by at least 28 points throughout the last 20 minutes while holding as much as a 46-point advantage with less than a minute remaining.

Tucker DeVries led all scorers with 20 points and five assists, while fifth-year senior guard Lamar Wilkerson notched 18 points. The Hoosiers shot 54.5% from the field and 38.7% from 3-point range.

Junior guard Nick Dorn, who played in his fifth game of the year after a foot injury, notched a season-high 14 points on 4-for-5 shooting from 3-point range. Senior forward Sam Alexis and freshman forward Trent Sisley each added 14 points as the Hoosiers reached the century mark for the third time this season.

Indiana will now hit the road for a 7 p.m. Dec. 3 matchup with Minnesota inside Williams Arena in Minneapolis. The contest will be televised on the Big Ten Network.
