Indiana men’s soccer brought home three Big Ten Weekly honors for the week of Sept. 2 – Sept 9.
Junior forward Collins Oduro earned the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week. Oduro collected two goals over the last week of play, one against the University of Notre Dame and another against Saint Louis University, to bring home two victories for the Hoosiers. The 5-foot-7 Bibiani, Ghana, native is the third Indiana member to earn the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week this season, joining senior forward Palmer Ault and junior midfielder Jacopo Fedrizzi.
Redshirt junior defender Breckin Minzey also received the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week. Minzey has led the Indiana back line to three straight shutout victories, and the Hoosiers haven’t conceded a goal for the last 358 minutes.
Finally, graduate goalkeeper Holden Brown earned the Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Week for the second consecutive week. Brown recorded two clean sheets in Indiana’s two 1-0 victories this week.
Oduro, Minzey, Brown and the rest of the Hoosiers will look to build on their 5-0-1 start to the year when they face Michigan at 8 p.m. Saturday at Bill Armstrong Stadium.
