A Bedford man died Saturday evening following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of West State Road 45 and Airport Road, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to the scene around 6:08 p.m. and found a motorcyclist with fatal injuries. The crash involved a Harley Davidson motorcycle and a Chevrolet Cruze.
The motorcyclist was identified as Hunter Warthan, 24, of Bedford. The driver of the Chevrolet was Victoria Lewis, 19, of Spencer.
The intersection was closed for approximately two and a half hours as crash reconstructionists investigated. The roadway reopened around 8:30 p.m.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
