 Roosevelt Reception Wednesday, May 22 6pm Cocktail Hour and 7pm Dinner Switchyard Pavilion at Switchyard Park | 1601 S Rogers St, Bloomington, IN 47403 Featuring the 2024 Eleanor Roosevelt Keynote by Dr. Amrita Chakrabarti Myers. Join your Monroe County Democratic Party for our annual Roosevelt Reception on May 22 at the Switchyard Pavilion at Switchyard Park. While valuing the fellowship with Democrats across the county, we continue to honor Eleanor Roosevelt and her fight for human rights protections. Her life inspires us to strengthen our relationships amongst each other, and she serves as a reminder of why we work so hard to spread our Democratic messaging. First, come mingle with fellow Democrats during our Cocktail Hour, beginning at 6pm. We will then welcome for our annual Eleanor Roosevelt Keynote speaker, Dr. Amrita Chakrabarti Myers, an associate professor of history at Indiana University and author. Additional speakers include federal, statewide, and state assembly candidates. The annual IDEA Convention will once again take place at the French Lick Resort from Thursday, August 1 through Sunday, August 4.
