Where to find public restrooms in Bloomington

The men's public restroom is seen Nov. 16, 2022, inside Franklin Hall on IU Bloomington's campus. There are 24/7 public restrooms at the Fourth Street and Trade District garages and various churches and the Monroe County Public Library allow access to public restrooms during hours of operation.

Last winter, new 24/7 restrooms opened at parking garages as part of Bloomington’s effort to provide more public restrooms. Here is a list of some accessible bathrooms located in downtown Bloomington. 

Fourth Street Garage 

Located at 105 W. Fourth St., the garage has two public restrooms open 24/7. 

Trade District Garage 

Located at 401 N. Morton St., this garage has public restrooms available 24/7. 

Trinity Episcopal Church 

Located at 111 S. Grant St., this church leaves its doors unlocked for public access to its ground floor bathrooms.  

Shalom Community Center 

The center is a day shelter located at 620 S. Walnut St. and is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m on weekdays.  

Monroe County Public Library 

Located at 303 E. Kirkwood Ave., the library has several public restrooms. The library is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
