Indiana wrestling program acquires Army transfer Clayton Fielden

Then-IU freshman Eddie Bolivar wrestles then-Iowa sophomore Max Murin on Jan. 10, 2020, in Wilkinson Hall. Clayton Fielden, a junior from Army, will transfer to the Indiana wrestling program.

Clayton Fielden, a junior from the U.S. Military Academy, will transfer to the Indiana wrestling program, according to a June 5 release from head coach Angel Escobedo. Fielden has three years of eligibility remaining.

Fielden wrestled at 165 lbs. as a freshman at Army and 174 lbs. as a sophomore. He notched a 5-6 record in the 2021-2022 season and holds an 8-10 collegiate record overall.

Fielden is an Indiana native who attended Garrett High School. He was a two-time team captain, two-time state runner-up and four-time all-conference selection in high school.
