Two Indiana women’s track and field athletes — sophomore Jaden Ulrich and redshirt senior Maddy Pollard — competed in the Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Oregon, over the weekend.

Both athletes took part in the shot put competition, where Ulrich placed 14th and Pollard placed 16th. Ulrich’s best throw reached 16.87 meters and Pollard’s 16.69 meters.

Both athletes finished in the top-eight at the Big Ten discus championships and ended their seasons in the same event at the NCAA Championships.

Ulrich is currently ranked 74th in shot put and 105th in discus, and Pollard is ranked 66th in shot put and 240th in discus, according to the USATF database.
