Editor’s Note: This story includes mention of sexual violence.

On April 18, the IU Police Department received three different reports of sexual assault from the Office of Student Conduct. The reports were delayed, meaning they were submitted weeks, months or years after the incident, according to an IU-Bloomington Crime Notice.

The first report of sexual assault occured in August 2019 in Read Residence Center. The second report also occurred in Read Residence Center in March 2020. The suspect for these two cases is the same person and known to both IUPD and the victims.

The third report of sexual assault occured in December 2021 at Briscoe Residence Center. The suspect, who is different from the suspect in the incidents that occurred at Read, is known to both IUPD and the victim.

IUPD is asking that anyone with information on these crimes, or any other crime, to call IUPD at 812-855-4111.
