The Lotus Education and Arts Foundation will celebrate the world returning from a 15-month long pandemic with Summer Night of Lotus, an event featuring live music, food and prizes Thursday at Deer Park Manor, according to Lotus website.

The event is a fundraiser for the Lotus World Music & Arts Festival, an annual event in Bloomington, which over the past 25 years has hosted 575 artists from over 120 different countries around the world.

According to the website, Thursday’s celebration will feature the Bloomington-based band Matixando.

Attendees can enjoy a variety of refreshments including beer, wine, non-alcoholic beverages, and light snacks from the event's cash bar. According to the website, Chocolate Moose will also be providing ice cream.

All attendees will be entered in a raffle to win prizes including a pair of weekend ticket passes to the 2021 Lotus Festival, CD collections of 2019 and 2020 Festival artists, a Lotus pendant, a Lotus ceramic mug and a pair of Lotus earrings, according to the website.

Those who wish to attend can buy tickets through Eventbrite. According to the website, doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and music will start at 7 p.m. All who wish to attend must be 21 and older in addition to being fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
