The Indiana University Police Department is investigating an alleged rape that took place Sept. 27 in Forest Quad.
The victim, an IU student, did not report the incident until Sunday, police said. The suspect was known to the victim, but the suspect is not a student at IU, police said. The student may attend another university and detectives are trying to locate the suspect.
The victim reportedly went home to her family sometime after the incident, and the victim’s mother noticed odd behavior, police said. The victim told her mother the story, and the mother made a call to the police. The victim then provided details, police said.
