An IU student was reportedly raped Jan. 20 in a dorm room at Union Street Center apartments, according to the IU Police Department. Police said their suspect is also an IU student, and the rape reportedly happened in the suspect's room.

The Office of Student Conduct reported the rape to police Monday morning, IUPD Deputy Chief Shannon Bunger said. The office also reported that the same suspect fondled another person Sept. 15. Both incidents took place at Union Street Center apartments.

Bunger could not confirm the sex of the students who were assaulted or the suspect. He said the suspect knew the student who was reportedly raped. He said he did not have any other details and IUPD is continuing to investigate.
