An IU student filed a report with the IU Police Department on Wednesday claiming she was raped early Sunday morning in a Union Street Center apartment.

IU Police Department Capt. Craig Munroe said she went to the IU Health Center on Sunday seeking treatment. While there, she disclosed the assault, and IUPD was notified.

She told police she spent time with the 19-year-old male suspect Saturday night before being attacked. It was their first time meeting.

"We don't think there is any present danger to the community right now," Munroe said.

According to an IUPD crime alert, they have identified the suspect and the investigation is ongoing
