Airborne Lime scooter damages parked Toyota Camry

A Bloomington woman said her Toyota Camry was damaged Saturday when a man picked up a Lime scooter and threw it.

Bloomington Police Department Sgt. Shane Rasche said the woman called BPD at 1:52 a.m. to the intersection of 10th Street and College Avenue for property damage.

Rasche said the Lime left several small scratches and a small dent in her car which was parked on the street.

The woman told police she was standing on the balcony of her apartment when she saw a group of four men and two women walking north on College Avenue.

She said the group drew her attention when one of the males dressed in a white T-shirt with pinstripes picked up a Lime scooter.

The woman then witnessed the suspect throw the Lime and damage her vehicle. Rasche said the woman then yelled and the suspect and his group fled the scene.

Rasche said the woman left her apartment to look for the subjects downstairs but couldn’t find them in the area.

BPD is currently searching for the vandal.
