Sophomore guard Al Durham competes with sophomore guard Bendu Yeaney in a 3-point shooting contest during Hoosier Hysteria on Sept. 29 in Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.

With the 2019 men’s basketball season just a couple months away, Hoosier fans have finally learned when they’ll be able to see this year's men’s and women’s basketball teams.

IU announced that Hoosier Hysteria this year will be on 4:30 p.m. Oct. 5 in Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. Details for the event will be released as it gets closer to the date.

Last year, there was a 3-point contest, a dunk contest and a scrimmage among the men’s team. Then-senior Juwan Morgan and senior Brenna Wise won the 3-point contest while then-freshman Romeo Langford took the dunk contest crown.

The event also comes during an IU football bye week this year after the 2018 Hoosier Hysteria happened the same day as the football team played at Rutgers.

Admission is free, but IU asks to donate canned goods for admission.
