Police arrested a 23-year-old man Saturday for driving under the influence after he fell off a Lime scooter.

Bloomington Police Department received a call around 2:45 p.m. saying a man was near 400 E. 12th Street bleeding from his face. Officers arrived to find Ryan Cason on the ground next to a Lime scooter with a cut above his right eye. He smelled of alcohol and had slurred speech, Lt. John Kovach said.

An ambulance took Cason to the hospital, where he was treated for his injuries. While there, police said he refused to take a blood alcohol test.

Cason was cleared from the hospital that night and was immediately taken to the police station for questioning. Eventually, Cason was arrested for driving while impaired and refusal to submit to a test, which is an infraction.
