IU men’s soccer clinches a share of the Big Ten regular season title

Rece Buckmaster

Despite having two matches remaining on its schedule, IU men’s soccer has clinched at least a share of the 2018 Big Ten Conference regular season title.

No. 12 Michigan State drew 1-1 at home against Michigan on Tuesday night, which means only Wisconsin can tie IU in the conference standings. That’s only possible if IU loses its next two matches and Wisconsin wins out.

IU only needs to earn a single point in either its match against Ohio State on Wednesday night or Michigan State on Sunday to win the title outright. With the Michigan State draw, it marks IU's first Big Ten regular season title since 2010 and the 15th overall in program history.
