IU’s School of Art, Architecture + Design will have its annual free open studio Oct. 12 for individuals who are interested in the school’s undergraduate and graduate programs. All visitors are invited to try out various art-making activities as well as check out student artwork in multiple studio locations, according to a press release.
Three main facilities for the open studio will be available to the public including Kirkwood Hall, the Fine Arts Building and Central Stores. Each site will be representing different aspects of SoAAD’s art programs, ranging from apparel merchandising to printmaking and the Grunwald Gallery of Art to the Friends of Art Bookshop, according to the press release.
The open studios begin at 5:30 p.m., and directions for their various locations can be found in the first floor lobby of Kirkwood Hall and outside the Grunwald Gallery in the Fine Arts Building. More information can be found at SoAAD’s website.
