A 19-year-old IU student reported being raped Labor Day at Briscoe Quad.
IU Police Department Capt. Craig Munroe said the report came to IUPD Tuesday. It is unclear whether the incident was reported elsewhere first.
Munroe declined to give the gender of the victim or the accused, but he said the two were dating at the time of the incident. The accused individual is also 19.
According to IUPD’s daily crime logs, the rape happened between 2 and 3 p.m. Sept. 3.
The victim was interviewed by IUPD Tuesday, Munroe said.
