Bloomington’s Buskirk-Chumley Theater is set to host the globe-trotting Banff Mountain Film Festival on Saturday March 31 and Sunday April 1.

Tickets for each day of the festival cost $16.50 for regular seating, or $14 for a pit seat. Tickets for Saturday’s screenings are sold out.

“Following the initial festival at The Banff Centre in Alberta, the tour hits the road with stops planned in about 550 communities and more than 40 countries across the globe,” according to the Buskirk-Chumley’s website.

Each day of the festival will feature approximately two and a half hours of films, according to the Buskirk's website. Film lineups can be viewed on the theater’s website.

The films screened on the tour represent only a small selection of the films that screen at the festival in Alberta, Canada.

“From approximately 400 films entered into the annual festival, award-winning films and audience favorites are among the films chosen to travel the globe,” said the Buskirk’s website.

This will be the 16th consecutive year the Banff Mountain Film Festival has come to Bloomington, according to a press release from the Buskirk.

“This year’s tour features a collection of the most inspiring action, environmental, and adventure films from the festival,” the release said.
