Police are investigating an alleged knife fight at Miller Showers Park after officers found 20-year-old Seth Collins with a cut on his hand and smaller cuts on his forearm.

Officers found Collins at the Steak 'n Shake on North College Avenue at 8 p.m. Friday. He was carrying 20-year-old Sam Voss’ cellphone.

Paramedics treated him on the scene, and officers cited him for stealing the phone.

Voss told police Collins stole his phone before the two men got into a fight. When an argument over the phone got physical, he said Collins stabbed him with a knife.

Collins also told police Voss stole his wallet, which he dropped during the fight.

Police found Voss after the fight at 1:50 a.m. Saturday morning in Briscoe Quad. Voss had bruises on his left thigh and chest, as well as three more on his back.

Voss was admitted to IU Health Bloomington immediately after being questioned and has not been released by the hospital as of Saturday morning.

Collins was cited for stealing the phone and possessing marijuana while Voss was cited for the stolen wallet.

Police are still investigating the stabbing, and charges are pending.
