While I understand your position, I still don’t agree with your choice to run “White Identity” as a cover story.

What do you think Thomas Buhls was trying to do by chalking? The way I see it, both parties win. The Indiana Daily Student gets the shock value headline it wants, and Buhls gets the attention he craves.

I believe in the First Amendment. However I feel it is irresponsible of the IDS to give a boost to the demented ego of Buhls by running this story.

Not to mention, everything we say or do nowadays is out there in the aether. Do you not think law enforcement organizations and anti-racist activists have Buhls on their radar?

Anyone who is interested or active knew about Buhls and his activity before you printed this story.

Maybe if the IDS staff was more concerned with actual journalism instead of updating your Facebook pages & Twitter feeds, you could get your heads out of the sand and do some real work.
