Woman reports sexual assault

A 25-year-old female reported to the Bloomington Police Department on Oct. 2 that she was sexually assaulted by a 29-year-old male Sept. 17, BPD Sgt. Joe Crider said.

The victim and suspect, who are co-workers, were leaving work after 10 p.m. and walking to their cars when the man grabbed the woman’s wrist and said he did not want her to leave.

He asked her if she would come to his downtown residence, which was close to where their cars were parked.

She reported that while in the residence, everything was calm initially, but then she was pressured to engage in sexual relations against her will.
The case remains active.
