The American Civil Liberties Union of Indiana announced four new members on the Board of Directors effective Sept. 21.
The new board members are Dan Cook, Dorie Hertzel Maryan, Esteban Ortiz and Doneisha Posey.
The ACLU of Indiana has more than 4,500 members and donors statewide, according to a press release from the organization.
The Board is instrumental in organizing and informing members and supporters at the county level, Alice Bennett, president of the ACLU of Indiana, said in the release.
“We are proud so many hard-working and talented individuals have chosen to devote their time and expertise to the ACLU of Indiana,” Executive Director Jane Henegar said in the release. “The work of our Board has been vital to achieving our goals in this 60th Anniversary year, including the education of thousands of Hoosier students on Constitution Day.”
