Naked man found in roadway Saturday

Bloomington police officers responded to reports of a naked man in the roadway near 17th Street and College Avenue around 4 a.m. Saturday.

Two females reported to officers that they were battered by the man before officers arrived, BPD Sgt. Joe Crider said in an email.

The male's name was unknown upon arrival at the hospital, and his statements were incomprehensible, Crider said. The man was later identified as Bradley Wylie.

When officers tried to handcuff Wylie, he resisted but was subdued by officers.

He appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance and was admitted to the hospital for impairment due to possible drug use.

He was then taken to the Monroe County Jail when he was released from the hospital.

Wylie was also arrested on a warrant from a crime that occurred in February, in which he is reported to have assaulted two victims in the 3200 block of 10th Street, BPD Sgt. David Alley said.
