An Indiana company that catered for the Super Bowl last year in Indianapolis had the opportunity once again this year.
Frankfort, Ind.,-based Shoup’s Country Foods Inc. is family owned and operated business. The restaurant offers selections ranging from country casual meals, as well as simple elegance, according to the eatery’s website.
Shoup’s was recruited to work in New Orleans by a California-based company they worked with during the Indianapolis game.
Five Shoup’s employees served food at high-profile events such as the NFL tailgate party, in which about 10,000 were projected to have attended.
According to Inside Indiana Business, co-owner Cindy Casey, who is one of the employees in New Orleans, said she believes her business is the only one like it from Indiana participating this year.
Casey said the most difficult part of working this event is the distances between hotels and events and setting up portable on-site “mini kitchens,” according to the report.
Shoup’s offers a Mini-Hog Roast, which is boneless pork roast consisting of lean white meat, and burgers made of 100-percent pure ground pork and pulled pork barbecue, smothered in their own barbecue sauce, according to Shoup’s website.
The company also offers mail-in and delivery options to customers.
