“The County Budget approval, or not, is the function of the representative ‘at large’ for County Council. There are very serious issues with the management of the departments resulting in wasteful budgets. The Monroe County Comprehensive Plan needs to be rescinded, for constitutional reasons at least. So the budget including MCCP ordinances must be denied.

“Immediate access of the public to transparency of record must be achieved. Ordinances that restrict the lawful and sensible progress of business must be reconsidered and rescinded. One such famous problem are the sign ordinances. Some ratty old signs have been in existence for years and yet the new business is not allowed to change the sign and replace it with current information or even paint. This is government preventing the fair practice of commerce. Some officials in town want to inhibit old business sites from success so that they can change them into their own projects ... rezoning ... this is bullying."
