A 20-year-old woman attempting to stop an altercation at a local group home was reportedly stabbed in broad daylight Sunday.
Following the dispute, sometime before 1:23 p.m., a 14-year-old male involved in the fight went to the undisclosed shelter’s kitchen and retrieved a kitchen knife, Bloomington Police Department Lt. Bill Parker said.
The suspect returned to the victim and stabbed her.
The stab wound was located on her right thigh and was about one inch either deep or wide, Parker said.
He said he didn’t know whether the stretched one inch across or went an inch deep into the thigh.
Parker said the suspect was transported to the Southwestern Indiana Facility for Youth.
