An 18-year-old male reported to the Bloomington Police Department at about 7:47 p.m. Sunday that two men, 32 and 21, opened fire inside his residence with a BB gun and paintball gun after the victim refused to disclose the location of his brother.
Lt. Bill Parker said the victim had welts and pink paint splotches scattered about his upper torso and arms.
The two men had not yet been located by police as of noon Monday.
The suspects are residents in the same apartment complex, located on the 3300 block of East Longview Avenue, Parker said.
A search warrant was executed on the suspects’ residence, where officers recovered a BB gun, paintball gun and a container of silver BBs.
Parker said the suspects took the victim’s learner’s permit in an effort to discourage him from leaving town.
