Juvenile reports sexual encounter with 47-year-old

A 15-year-old female and her 35-year-old mother reported to police they were being harassed by the wife of a 47-year-old man who they both claim they had sex with.

Bloomington police are attempting to locate the suspect as of noon Thursday, who may face preliminary charges of sexual misconduct with a minor, Bloomington Police Department Detective Sgt. John Kovach said.

The wife, 37, came into contact with the two women after discovering their phone numbers in her husband’s cell phone. Both parties are alleging they are being harassed by the woman, Kovach said.

The juvenile told police she had sex with the man about two weeks ago. The juvenile and the suspect met the night prior to the sexual encounter when the man drove her and a friend to the west side of town.The following day, the girl and the suspect met in a grocery store parking lot, where she told police the two had protected sex in his van.

Kovach said the suspect told the victim not to inform her mother of the encounter.
Upon interviews with the mother and daughter, the mother also admitted to having sex with the man at least once in the last two weeks.

Throughout text message exchanges between the daughter-mother duo and the wife of the suspect, the wife informed the two her husband was infected with the AIDS virus and that she had medical documentation to corroborate her claim, Kovach said.

The wife told investigators that her husband has drug-induced binges where he seeks out women to have sex with.

When the mother of the 15-year-old was interviewed, she disclosed to a detective the sexual encounter with the suspect was unprotected, Kovach said.
