Severe weather rolls into Monroe County

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for southern Monroe County until 7:45 p.m.

At 6:54 p.m., the weather service radar indicated a line of thunderstorms extending about eight miles southwest of Bloomington to seven miles northwest of Bedford.

The storms reported were capable of producing hail and damaging winds.

According to Duke Energy, 7,756 power outages were reported in Monroe County as of 7:30 p.m.
