As the heat intensifies throughout the summer months, take some time to cool off and enjoy this summer’s Performing Arts Series sponsored by the Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department.

May 15
dwBrykalski, a Missouri mad-mule roots music group, will perform at 11:30 a.m. in Peoples Park.

May 22
Sharlee Davis and Will Devitt, acoustic musicians, will perform at 11:30 a.m. in Peoples Park.

May 29
Craig and Lori Brenner will perform a swing, jazz and blues concert at 11:30 a.m. in Peoples Park.

June 5
Kevin Reynolds, a resophonic blues artist, will perform at 11:30 a.m. in Peoples Park.

June 7-10
The Monroe County Civic Theater will perform “Macbeth” at 6:30 p.m. in The Waldron, Hill and Buskirk Park.

June 14
Craig and the Crawdads, a New Orleans R&B, blues and swing band, will perform at 6:30 p.m. in The Waldron, Hill and Buskirk Park.

June 12
Acoustic pop act 64 Colors will perform at 11:30 a.m. in Peoples Park.

June 19
Electric and acoustic blues performer Gordon Bonham will perform at 11:30 a.m. in Peoples Park.

June 21
Island Party, an island pop duo, will perform at 6:30 p.m. in The Waldron, Hill and Buskirk Park.

June 26
The Mundies, a progressive rock improvisation group, will perform at 11:30 a.m. in Peoples Park.

June 28
Freddie Shaw Band, which is defined as “music with a heartbeat,” will perform at 6:30 p.m. in The Waldron, Hill and Buskirk Park.
