Hoosiers lose to Kentucky in 12 innings

The Hoosiers battled the University of Kentucky Wildcats through 12 innings Wednesday, but the Cats came out on top, winning 6-5. Both teams used a combined 13 pitchers.

Indiana scored three runs in the third and sixth innings but did not score again until the bottom of the 11th. The Wildcats scored first in the second inning, and again in the third and sixth, but also remained scoreless until the 11th.

Kentucky sophomore J.T. Riddle scored on a balk by Hoosier pitcher Brian Korte in the 12th inning.

The Hoosiers’ next series takes place May 11-13 at Northwestern University.
