Suspect flees attempted robbery

An attempted robbery was reported early Sunday in the 400 block of East 20th Street.

The victim went to his vehicle so he could get money to buy something from a friend, Bloomington Police Department Lt. Faron Lake said.

The victim reported that a male entered the passenger side of the vehicle and pointed a revolver at the victim. The suspect then demanded money and the keys to the victim’s vehicle, Lake said.

After the victim refused, the suspect reportedly drove away from the scene in a yellow vehicle. The victim then reported the incident to BPD at about 4 a.m. Sunday. No related cases have been reported to BPD.
