Samantha Frazier, like so many this week, was not pleased about the noise coming from a nearby apartment on West First Street.
Frazier, 21, went upstairs to confront her neighbor, Maureen Pickering,
56, about loud noise at about 6 a.m. Wednesday, Lt. Bill Parker of the
Bloomington Police Department said.
The two were arguing when Pickering's son, Steven Pickering, 25, suddenly appeared from next door with a gun.
Parker said Steven Pickering pointed a Taurus .38 caliber loaded
revolver at Frazier and told her to leave. Frazier did and called
police, Parker said.
Steven Pickering told police he had waved the
gun but not pointed it, Parker said. However, witnesses corroborated
Frazier's story.
Steven Pickering was arrested for pointing a firearm, which is illegal within city limits.
