Bloomington Police Department officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the 100 block of South Franklin Road on Saturday night and found a man who was allegedly going to sell the supplies needed to produce methamphetamine, BPD Lt. Faron Lake said.
Police arrested Robert Covy at about 10:40 p.m. and charged him with battery and conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine, Lake said. When officers arrested Covy, they searched him and reportedly found hypodermic needles, a balloon containing heroin, and sudafedrin and other prescription drugs that can be used to produce methamphetamine.
Covy admitted he was going to sell the pills to someone else planning on manufacturing the drugs, Lake said.
No one else at the scene was arrested.
