Roommate fight lead to women’s arrests

Police responded to a call just after 6 p.m. Monday about a fight between roommates at an apartment in the 2800 block of West Heartwood Court.

IU student Dominique Davis and her roommate, Alexandra Goree, both 20, had allegedly battered one another during an argument, Lt. Bill Parker of the Bloomington Police Department said.

“Dominique said she didn’t want the other girl to live with her anymore, told her to pack up her things,” Parker said. “It escalated from there.”

Police arrested both women. Goree was arrested  on preliminary charges of simple domestic battery, Parker said.

However, police allegedly noticed strangulation marks on Goree’s neck, Parker said.

Goree also told police Davis prevented her from calling 911 by grabbing her phone.

Davis was arrested on preliminary charges of aggravated battery, strangulation and interfering with reporting a crime.
