Around 4:50 p.m. Saturday, a campus bus collided with a yellow Chevy Cobalt on South Jordan Avenue in front of the Jacobs School of Music.
Sophomore Nathaniel Staggs was operating the Cobalt and sustained minor injuries to the left side of his face.
Staggs, who was pulling out of the Read Center parking lot, said he did not see the bus approaching as he pulled into the street, and by the time he realized it, the bus was unable to avoid collision.
Despite thin streams of blood on the left side of his cheek, Staggs said he did not believe his injuries required treatment. However, an ambulance was later summoned to the scene.
