Man reports assault, robbery in Night Moves parking lot

A 50-year-old Bloomington man reported to the Bloomington Police Department he was jumped, assaulted and robbed early Monday in a parking lot at Night Moves, a local strip club.

At approximately 1:46 a.m., BPD officer Joe Sanders pulled over a suspicious vehicle and arrested the driver, Jason Price, 33, for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, said Sgt. Jeff Canada.

During the arrest, Canada said Sanders noticed the passenger had cuts and scrapes on his face and an injury around his left eye. When Sanders asked the passenger what happened to his face, the man said he was attacked in the parking lot of Night Moves at 1700 block of South Walnut Street.

Sanders reported the alleged victim was intoxicated. Although he was unable to provide a description of the attacker or the number of attackers, he said he was robbed of approximately $2,000.

Canada said the man began complaining of chest pains, so police transported him to IU-Health Bloomington Hospital.
