A Bloomington man was arrested Saturday after police found him overdosed in his apartment.
About 7:30 p.m., officers responded to a call in the 700 block of West Gourley Pike that a male was overdosing, said Lt. Faron Lake of the Bloomington Police Department.
In the apartment, police located Nikolas Stratigos, 31, and he was transported to IU Health Bloomington Hospital. Officers found a hypodermic needle, a controlled substance and the synthetic cannabinoids known as Spice and K2 in the residence.
“He was shooting narcotics and overdosed himself,” Lake said.
After being treated and released from the hospital, Stratigos was taken into custody.
He was booked into the Monroe County Jail on preliminary charges of possession of hypodermic needle, possession of a controlled substance and possession of a synthetic cannabinoid, Lake said.
