Season two of “Modern Family” has made tuning in to ABC at 9 p.m. Wednesdays a habitual occurrence. In some ways, it can be classified as a fortunate contagion. I became addicted to the show because I was introduced to it by a friend, who heard of it from another friend.
I was a victim of this epic domino effect. However, I am eternally grateful that I was welcomed into the modern family.
The series just brought home five more Emmys to add to its total, including Best Comedy, beating out favorites such as “Glee,” “The Office” and “30 Rock.”
What I enjoy most about “Modern Family” is that it captures what real families do in real situations. It’s not sugarcoated, dramatic or hokey. The writers actually base the show off their lives.
And like many families in the United States, they’re not traditional.
“Modern Family” is the funniest show on television. It is filled with laugh-out-loud comedy and makes us see a reflection of our families when we watch.
'Family' conquers the world
